I got this for my nephew (9) and I LOVE this book! It’s gorgeously illustrated with tactile depths and the text does a wonderful job of introducing young readers to cultural contexts of astronomy and the wonder of scientific inquiry, including the ethos of an expansive humanism.
Even though I gave it away, Looking Up now counts among my favourite non-fiction books. It’s really great. My nephew agrees :)
